Unique Event in Montrose

The P.G. Master Bro Sandy Christie and his Commissioned office bearers were invited by the Provincial Grand Superitendent of Angus and Mearns M.E. Companion William N. Beckers - to a meeting of the Provincial Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Angus & Mearns on Friday 30th September 2011.

Bro Christie and his Substitute P.G. Master Bro Iain D. McIntosh attended this unique event and we hope that this could be the start of some reciprocal close meetings and visits with our opposite numbers in the Provincial Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Angus & Mearns. Also at the meeting Bro McIntosh was accorded the honorary rank of Provincial Treasurer in the Provincial Royal Arch Chapter of Angus & Mearns.

Grand Lodge of Scotland

Grand Lodge of Scotland Half Million pund Donation to C.H.A.S.

Grand Lodge reaches Half a Million Pounds in Money raised for the Childrens Hospice Appeal Scotland.

At the 100th Anniversary celebrations of the building of Freemasons Hall, in George Street Edinburgh, which also coincided with the 275th Anniversary of the Founding of the Grand Lodge of Scotland.

The Grand Lodge achived a significant milestone in that it has now donated £500,000 to C.H.A.S. (Childrens Hospice Appeal Scotland), an event which seems to have had scant attention from the media who did not think it fit to publicise to a great extent.

This was commemorated at the event in Murrayfield Stadium on the 9th April 2011.
